Martial art techniques are most effective when the body is in postures and positions that are of sound biomechanics, ergonomics.

With that in mind, our martial art training programs are assessment-based. We help you discover various imbalances or anomalies that you may find and then work on correcting and improving them. These challenges are mostly physical. You may have some pain due to these improper postural alignments. Apart from physical trauma, psychological stress may cause physical imbalances such as muscle tightness in the shoulders.

The postural assessments and range of motion testing will indicate what sort corrections needed.

    What is ITA

ITA is abbreviation of the term Interactive Technique Application. It is a martial art platform for martial artists to apply their skills. Generally, two people face off with each other in a duel. Unlike ring combat sports, the contact level in ITA is controlled to ensure safety, especially preventing brain injuries.

In Chinese (specifically in Cantonese) it is called “Dui-Chak” or written as 對拆. Literally, the term translates to “match of taking apart or challenge of deconstruct.”

In the context of kung fu match, it means using kung fu skills to deconstruct the opponent’s kung fu techniques i.e. neutralizing the opposing party’s threat, via various strategies i.e. protect, redirect or prevent formation of their techniques.
